When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:4
If we are always concious of the fact that Christ is our life, we will live victoriously no matter the circumstance. Whenever the devil throws challenging situations at you, making you feel God is angry with you, it’s a good time to remind yourself that Christ is your life. Is there an addiction plaguing you and you’ve concluded that Christ cannot be your life? Or you have been falling over and over again, into that sin.
Beloved, the plan of the enemy is to keep you down in the mud. You have to awaken to who you truly are and focus on Jesus. You can’t break addictions by your own willpower or human effort. Hebrews 12:1-2; “if there is any sin that brings you down, the solution to this problem is keep your eyes on Jesus” (paraphrased). The more you keep your eyes on Jesus, the more you will be surprised at how the addiction will stop on its own.
Whatever the eyes of your heart focuses on, that particular thing becomes magnified in your life. So, if you focus on your troubles, then this will be amplified. Focus on Jesus, who has become your life and watch things change, from one level of glory to another. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, the solution to being changed or metamorphosed is by beholding. The more you behold Jesus, the more you are transformed from within. So beloved, this is not the time to rely on some self-help book. It’s time to focus on Jesus; who is your life.
Prayer: Lord Jesus I focus on You, my life. Thank You for transforming my life. Amen.
