So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Galatians 3:11
The righteousness we have beloved, is not ours; it’s a gift from our Daddy God. Someone might ask: how do we live this life then? The one who God has made His righteousness, ought to live by faith (believing). Whose faith? The faith of the Son of God, who loved us and died for us.
You have to believe the Son of God and His love for you. Right believing will produce right living. How? We are influenced by what we believe. The belief system of a person affects what he/she thinks of and these thought patterns can influence subsequent actions and behaviour.
No wonder Romans 5:17 states, those who have received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life. When you believe that Jesus did it all for you and you rest in His superabounding grace; it transforms your thought processes.
Paul was so full of this belief system, that he said, “I am what I am by the grace of God, the grace of God on me was not in vain”. The more you believe that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, your thoughts change and eventually your actions would.
Prayer: Jesus, I live through Your Faith. And as I continue believing, my actions become right.
