Who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:5
Saints, another reason why our hearts should be confident of what Jesus has done, is because He took all we deserved and gave us all He deserves. When you have a business deal and you become a guarantor to a person, what you are invariably saying is; if he/she defaults you can hold me liable. Before you can guarantee anyone, you have to make sure the person will not default or that you can step up if the person defaults.
The same way, Jesus has put us in the palm of His hands and that no one can pluck us out. He became our guarantor in this new covenant. Hebrews 7:22 NIV; “Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant”. This should assure you of your “sure” salvation; if you are really saved. If a bank was to guarantee you, you will have to make some payment or drop a collateral. But Jesus gave you a gift by becoming your guarantor, with no repayment plan.
How won’t you fall in love over and over again with our loving Saviour? Beloved, you are saved eternally and guaranteed by the King of kings and Lord of lords, the creator of the universe. Saints, this is the truth of the gospel, and knowing this will cause us to live more for Jesus. His love propels and compels us to live for Him.
Prayer: I am guaranteed by Jesus. I am compelled by His love. I live by His Grace.
